Decoy is a contemporary artist whose work channels the pulse of pop culture, cinema, music, and urban life into a striking visual language. His creative journey began in childhood, sketching comic book panels, album covers, and iconic characters—early obsessions that laid the groundwork for his bold use of color, graphic precision, and cultural symbolism.

After attending art college in Miami, Decoy emerged in the early 2000s with a distinct artistic identity and a signature logo: a stylized “D” encircled like a copyright symbol. This emblem became a visual anchor in his evolving body of work. His early career unfolded on the streets, where he fused realism with conceptual grit, using stencils and spray paint to create large-scale murals that paid homage to pop icons and explored the darker aesthetics of horror.

Between 2004 and 2008, Decoy expanded his creative footprint by publishing Takedown Magazine, curating exhibitions, and co-owning a studio/gallery space that spotlighted emerging local talent. These efforts reflected his commitment to building an artistic community and amplifying underrepresented voices. As his practice matured, his work began appearing in private collections across the U.S. and abroad.

From 2008 onward, Decoy continued producing impactful public murals while developing fine art pieces for collectors. During this period, his style evolved into a more conceptual and refined approach. His current work is defined by intricate line compositions, halftone dot patterns, and a sophisticated fusion of techniques—merging graphic structure with layered visual storytelling. Through vinyl stenciling and dynamic spatial arrangements, Decoy explores rhythm, tension, and cultural resonance, delivering work that is both technically rigorous and visually arresting.
